There is a lot I dislike about the new G2 Littlest Pet Shop toys. They may be popular, but call me spoilt from having grown up with the G1 figures because these are barely a shadow of the originals. Some are definitely cute, no two ways about it, but I stand by the original assessment I made when I first laid eyes on them.

They look like stoned animals.

The new range lacks the charm of G1 in favour of such trite and swiftly-ageing trends as inflated bobble heads and unnaturally-sized eyes, and is it just me, or do all the new pets come with bugger-all in the way of bits and pieces by comparison? I almost get the impression Hasbro is pandering to the cotton-wool-wrapping most parents subject their kids to by removing the smaller pieces (Polly Pocket sure isn't pocket-sized anymore). Sure it's annoying ten years down the track to try and reassemble your wayward collection only to find that most of the miniscule bits and bobs are long-lost, but still. (And anything Bratz can imitate so purely is severely lacking in innovative design initiative.)

Most of what I have are the few that I liked. Some were gifts and others traded to me, but most of them I've left in their packaging (not because I dislike them, but for preservation).

Think you might have something I need? Check my Wantlist and see!
