This is probably much nearer to what some people would consider a traditional sort of collection than toys are. It's a collection of books and multimedia from the sadly now-defunct Doug Anthony Allstars, an Australian musical comedy troupe from the late 80's/early 90's.

Think you might have something I need? Check my Wantlist and see!

Books: Those arcane things with paper and writing inside.

Multimedia: CDs, DVDs and the like.

Other: I don't know what else I might put here. Maybe some later stuff I've been of a mind to acquire.

Books
Book

Year: 1992
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None (remarkably)

Not in the best condition, and was clearly ex-library. Paul McDermott signed it at some point in its life. This is a rather odd book. If I were to describe it as anything, it'd be something like an abstract arthouse film, converted to a disjointed novella.
DAAS Kapital

Year: 1992
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

A collection of random illustrations, photos and strips from the DAAS Kapital tv series.
DAAS Farewell Songbook

Year: 1994
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Very Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

When the Allstars broke up, this was one of the books they sold at their final gigs. It's a collection of their songs (with guitar tabs), photographs, illustrations, newspaper clippings and a continuation of their earlier comic The Lesson in the middle of it. Considering its limited availablility, it is now considerably rare -- this was one of those things that sat in my list of things I really quite wanted for quite a very long time before I was able to find and acquire one. At some point in its life, it was signed by the trio.
The Lesson

Year: ????
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

A collection of bizzare comics put together by the Allstars. The Lesson is usually seen less than the Songbook, but is slightly less sought-after. I had the good luck of being able to get this from the same person as had the songbook, so I assume it was signed at the same time as it. Only the first comic is called The Lesson though; there are about five others in the same book, and The Lesson continues in the Songbook.
DAAS Comic Issue 2

Year: ????
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

An unlicenced and unauthorised comic put into very limited circulation by Heath McKenzie. It's quite good, but despite being intended for 6 issues, only 4 were made. I still need issue 1. The others I managed to get from the artist himself (he's quite good!)
DAAS Comic Issue 3

DAAS Comic Issue 4

Multimedia
Concert CD: The Last Concert

Year: 1994
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

This is the 2002 reissue. Recorded in Australia (at least one show in Sydney). This CD is an amalgamation of two of their farewell concerts; 'Kids & Animals' and 'Sweetness & Light'. The CDs are probably the most valuable merchandise around (I still haven't been able to secure a copy of Icon or the Live In Edinburg 'Bootleg') and fetch the highest prices, so I was glad to have bought this while it was still in shops.
Concert CD: Dead & Alive

Year: 1990
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

Recorded in London.
VHS: Dead & Alive

Year: 1990
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

Recorded in London.
Cassette: Bottle

Year: ????
Origin: Australia
Availability: Out of Production. Rare.
Pieces Missing: None

Cassette! Now we're getting into the really quite archaic stuff here. Single of the song 'Bottle' (really quite a melancholy song; quite a bit different to their usual stuff but I've always really liked it). One of these days I'd like to get the LP copy.
DVD: 'The Unlimited Uncollectible Sterling Deluxe Edition'

Year: 2009
Origin: Australia
Availability: Available
Pieces Missing: None

2 disks. Depending who you're talking to, you might hear this referred to as 'DAAS Gold'; what it originally hit the listings as. It's a collection of the Allstars' segments on ABC's variety show The Big Gig. Comes with commentary.
